New patients

What to expect as a new patient

Here is what happens from the moment you book to your first visit, so there are no surprises.

Step by step

Your first few steps

  1. Book your visit

We see Texas residents only. Request a time online or call us, and we will confirm your appointment.

  2. Set up your portal

You will get an email invitation to our secure client portal. Create your account, then complete your intake forms, consents and insurance or payment details there.

  3. Get ready

Find a quiet, private spot. Have your insurance card, a list of the medicines you take and your pharmacy's information nearby.

  4. Your first visit

Your psychiatric evaluation happens by secure video and lasts about 60 minutes. We talk about what brings you in, your health history and your goals, then plan next steps together.

  5. Follow up visits

Shorter visits check how you are doing and adjust your plan. Most patients come back every 2 to 4 weeks.

Your privacy

Your intake forms, consents and payment details go only into our secure, HIPAA compliant client portal. We never ask for health information through this website.

Cancellations and missed visits

Please cancel or reschedule at least 2 hours before your visit. If you cancel with less notice or miss your visit, there is a $75 fee. This fee never applies to Texas Medicaid or CHIP members. You can cancel online in the client portal up to 24 hours before your visit; after that, please call us.
